Polish classical guitarist Marcin Dylla started playing when he was eight years old, studying first in Poland at the Katowice Music Academy with Wanda Palacz, and thereafter training as a soloist with Oscar Ghiglia at the Music Conservatory in Basel, Switzerland, with Sonja Prunnbauer at the Music Academy in Freiburg, Germany and with Carlo Marchione at the Music Conservatory in Maastricht, Holland.

Since 1996, he has taken First Prize at no less than 15 major international guitar competitions, including Karl Scheidt ( Austria ) in 1998, Alessandria ( Italy ) in 2001, Joaquín Rodrigo ( Spain ) in 2002, Julián Arcas ( Spain ) in 2002, H.R.H. Princess Cristina ( Spain ) in 2002 and XXXVIII Markneukirchen ( Germany ) in 2003. Marcin Dylla has give performances at major venues such as the Schubertsaal of the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Brahmssaal of the Vienna Musikverein, the National Auditorium in Madrid , St. Petersburg´s Philharmonic Big Hall, and the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory Turin. He has performed with prominent orchestras such as the Turin Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and the National Spanish Youth Orchestra.

In 1998 he recorded a CD with the Polish Guitar Music.

Marcin Dylla has interpretative and technical qualities that have turned him into one of the maximum exponents of the new generation of European guitarists.
