Adriano del Sal

He was born in 1977 in Lignano Sabbiadoro ( udine , Italy ). After playing clarinet in his town ensemble, he started with guitar lessons at ageof 12. He was a student of prof. Stefano Viola, Paolo Pegoraro, Guido Fichtner and graduated at conservatory “J. Tomadini” in Udine , with highest grades and appreciations. Currently he is studyng at the Academy “F. Tarrega” in Pordenone , participating at masterclasses of great artists, such as David Russel, Stefano Grondona, Carlo Marchione, Alberto Ponce, Manuel Barrueco and others. He has won five national competions ( in Italy ) and first prizes at the internacional competitions “B. Terzi” in Bergamo , “N. Fago” in Taranto , “M. Castelnuovo-Tedesco” in Parma, “Citta dei Sanniti” in Isernia and “J. Arcas” in Almería (Spain). He has played at important international festivals such as “Festival Internacional de la Guitarra de Morelia” (México), “Mednarodni Festival Kitare” (Slovenia), “Festival Internazionale della Chitarra” (Parma, Pordenone, Siracusa), “Gitarrefestespiele Nurtingen” (Germany), etc.

Besides that he represented his region Friuli Venezia Giulia in Ukraine , with the Kiev Philharmonic.

An important thing for this formation is a great interest for flamenco, especially for cante jondo, the top expression in this art.
